We've been using our own in-house CNC system to encapsulate our luminaires since 2017. The use of this bespoke system enables us to encapsulate our luminaires in a transparent polyurethane (PU) that is of a consistently high quality. The two components used to this end are drawn from two drums of 60 kilograms each into the system's two stainless-steel containers before the actual process of encapsulation takes place. The components in the two containers are then exposed to high vacuum to remove any moisture that might be contained in the product. The removal of the moisture in this way permits the realisation of transparent PU encapsulation that is free of annoying micro-bubbles, which in turn means that no browning effects will occur even in intensive exposure to light.
The mixing ratio for our PU is 1:1.This delivers benefits particularly in the output of smallest application quantities. The metering head is controlled by a computer interface. We're also able to control metering manually, for instance, when special luminaires need to be encapsulated.

NauticProfil-System

Our NauticProfil system (NP system) is encapsulated on benches using a precision triple-axis linear robot. The robot enables us to achieve reproducibly consistent quantities and qualities for every NP light insert.
