FLASHAAR® invests in a new potting machine from DEMAK. The CNC dispensing machine is equipped with 6 vacuum tanks and has an automated potting travel of 3000 x 500 mm. It was specially designed for high-quality LED potting with polyurethane. Different potting colours and degrees of hardness, from soft, scratch-resistant to glass-hard, are no longer a problem thanks to the new potting system.

Humboldt Forum in the Berlin Palace shines with luminaires from FLASHAAR: Over 1.1 km of LED light lines from FLASHAAR stage the collections of the Humboldt Forum as well as other areas of the palace. The LED lines support the architecture with their lighting effect without putting themselves in the foreground.

The Humboldt Forum in the newly built Berlin Palace is a modern universal museum that invites visitors to discover the cultures of the world. Together with the neighbouring Museum Island, it is one of the largest contiguous museum complexes in Europe.

From 23 September 2021, the first collection of presentations of the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art of the National Museums in Berlin will be able to be experienced. This means that around 20,000 art objects from Africa, America, Asia and Oceania will be accessible to the public.

More than 1300 metres of linear LED lights from FLASHAAR illuminate the newly renovated congress area of the Liederhalle Stuttgart culture and congress centre.

The Kultur- und Kongresszentrum Liederhalle is located in the middle of Stuttgart and is one of the leading concert halls in Germany. While large orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic or great musicians such as Jimi Hendrix have been guests in the cultural centre, the so-called Hegel complex is a popular venue for congresses, meetings or trade fairs.

After an 18-month renovation phase in the congress area, the fire protection, building and network technology as well as stage and event technology are now state-of-the-art. As a sign of sustainability, around 4,500 energy-efficient LED lights have been installed for the public lighting. Including numerous lights from FLASHAAR.

Award-winning innovative strength: FLASHAAR LEDLight has been awarded the TOP 100 seal 2021. This award honours particularly innovative medium-sized companies – and this is now the 28th time. The company had previously proven its innovative strength in a scientific selection process.

On behalf of compamedia, the organiser of the TOP 100 innovation competition, innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke and his team examined the innovative strength of FLASHAAR LEDLight. The researchers used around 120 test criteria from five categories as a basis: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organisation, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success. The core question is whether innovations are the result of a planned approach or a product of chance, i.e. the repeatability of innovation performance. And it is about whether and how the corresponding solutions succeed on the market (further information on the test criteria can be found at www.top100-germany.com). Due to the current situation, there was also a special section in this round in which the entrepreneurial reaction to the Corona crisis was examined. FLASHAAR LEDLight is now among the top innovators for the second time.

Linear lighting for the Theresianum Mainz.
The Theresianum in Mainz is a state-recognised all-day high school. The conversion of the church school took under three years, and its fire protection and building technology are now state-of-the-art. Various linear LED luminaires, such as the NauticProfil Line Nova-5 and Focus 1Channel, emphasise the architectural features and shape their effect in the space.

LED light lines from FLASHAAR stage the special architecture of the ecclesiastical grammar school and put it in the foreground. The lighting effect should be perceived, but the luminaire itself should be simple and unobtrusive. As a contrast to the classrooms (4000 K), the educational centre, the library and the refectory are equipped with a warm white colour temperature of 3000 K, as a signal that a different use prevails in these rooms.

Reduced lumen output for outdoor spaces

The NauticProfil® Mayflower-2 is an LED line designed for outdoor use. It is the first choice when a low lumen output is required and is ideal for use in parks and gardens, car parks, tunnels and subways.

With the NP Mayflower-2 you can realise light lines of up to 65 m total length per power feed – and with top class value for money. It is ideal for handrails and stairs. There are five colour temperatures to choose from.

Linear lights for numerous application areas and installation situations are created from a wide range of LED series, optical systems, and accessories.

What sets us apart is uncomplicated planning, a unique plug & play installation system for lights without complex wiring, and quality “Made in Germany”. The new FLASHAAR® TrackAdapter 24-20 was developed to enable optimum, simple integration of FLASHAAR® NP light inserts in conductor rails (e.g. from Erco, Zumtobel, Eutrac).ermöglichen.

In cooperation with an EIFS manufacturer, we have developed the NauticProfil® R4.

This special installation profile is embedded in the façade insulation board and glued with PU adhesive. Subsequently, the lateral reinforcement mesh on the R4 profile is filled in with the system-specific reinforcement mortar and plastered flush on the flanks.

Converters can be easily and cleanly integrated through the profile even when already installed.

Discreet, long and frameless light lines assimilate perfectly into any façade design thanks to the R4 profile.

Growing quality demands are constantly presenting us with new challenges, which we are happy to meet.

For many years, we have been encapsulating our NauticProfil® system with an extremely high-quality and resilient transparent polyurethane. This successfully protects our lights from moisture, dust, vibration, mechanical stress and other harmful environmental influences.

Until now, however, it was not possible to deliver the same colour coordinates for encapsulated LEDs as for an identical unencapsulated LED. Due to the physics, there was a shift in the colour temperature. The higher the colour temperature of the LED before encapsulation, the greater the colour drift.

The challenge: to create continuous lines of light going from outdoors to indoors in a consistent colour temperature.

Our solution: The FLASHAAR® PremiumCoating. We have optimised our PU encapsulation and developed a new, patent-pending encapsulation process that avoids a shift in colour coordinates.

What is known as an IP protection cover is applied over our high-quality LED aluminium core boards before encapsulation. Direct contact with the casting resin is thus avoided and the refractive index of the LED is not changed. The result is a stable seal of the best quality and long service life. An absolutely homogeneous appearance is guaranteed.

The Cosima wave pool in Munich shines in new splendor after its renovation. The modern wave pool now offers a very special bathing experience for its guests. And for those guests wanting rest and relaxation there is the newly designed large sauna area. Our Pegasus-3 Gold luminaire inserts where choosen because they ensure a special feel-good atmosphere in the relaxation rooms. They illuminate the rooms in a range of 2200-3000 Kelvin a light that people find particularly pleasant and warm – ideal to create a relaxing and cozy atmosphere in this environment.
