The St. Rochus chapel in Bingen am Rhein is a pilgrimage church that is enthroned on a hill south-east of the city and can be seen from afar. Not only many citizens of Bingen regard the church, built in 1895 in the neo-Gothic style, as an important cultural asset of Bingen. It has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley since 2002.
The new lighting concept of the Rochus chapel extends like a "golden triptych" over the freshly restored altar of Mary, Rochus and Hildegardis. A total of 48 PicoSpot lights from FLASHAAR® focus their warm white light on the art treasures of the altars and emphasize their details. The high color rendering quality with a CRI type. 95 makes the colors very visible. The gold plating in particular shines in its color due to the balanced red spectral component of the light.
