Sacred lighting: „Rochuskapelle Bingen am Rhein“
The St. Rochus Chapel in Bingen am Rhein is a pilgrimage church on a hill in the south-east of the town, visible from afar. Not only many citizens of Bingen consider the church, built in 1895 in neo-Gothic style, to be an important cultural asset of Bingen. Since 2002, it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley.
The new lighting concept of the Rochus Chapel spans the freshly restored Mary altar, the Rochus altar and the Hildegardis altar like a “golden triptych”. 48 PicoSpot luminaires from FLASHAAR direct their warm white light specifically onto the art treasures of the altars and emphasise their details. The very good colour rendering with a CRI type. 95 makes all colours visible. Especially the gildings shine in their colour tone due to the balanced red spectral part of the light.
