We are able to measure luminaires using a modern far-field goniometer at our own in-house laboratory – also as a service for you. The digital light-distribution curves created during these measurements are recorded in all the usual file formats to help lighting designers include your luminaires in their lighting calculations. The data gained in this way also provides sales with important information and allows conclusions to be drawn for the ongoing development and improvement of your luminaires.
Now with flicker measurement
Our light laboratory is now also able to measure flickering in luminaires. The flicker meter there provides information about flickering in percent, the flicker index and the frequency along with the SVM index (stroboscopic visibility measure). We use the flicker meter to continuously ensure the quality of our own luminaires and to supplement our two-axis far-field goniometer.
But we’d also be happy to measure your luminaires as a service – so why not get in touch with us? The information acquired with the photo goniometer and flicker meter can be made available in a full PDF test report – with your logo on request. The cost for measuring flickering in percent with flicker index, frequency and SVM index is € 99.00 net.
FLASHAAR’s light laboratory is equipped with a two-axis far-field goniometer, which is able to measure lamps that are up to 1,500 mm long and up to 25 kilograms in weight. All lamps are measured at stable operating temperatures, with a stable luminous flux and highest resolution.
The light laboratory is also equipped with a special laboratory mains adapter that allows electrically precise measurements to be taken and which is particularly useful for measuring LED lamps. The special adapter is used in place of the built-in AC mains adapters and permits constant-voltage and constant-current LEDS to be measured with great precision. Additional electronic ballast systems are not required.
Technical specifications for the far-field goniometer:
- Sensor distance: 0.5 – 15 m
- Wide lumen range: 10 lm – 1.000.000 lm
- Goniometer resolution: 51.200 Schritte / 360 Grad
- Spectral range: 360-830 nm (1.024 Pixel) SONY ILX511B
- Lumen accuracy: < 4%
- File format export: IES, LDT, PDF, Excel
- Detailed power analysis with power scope
- Detailed view of R1-R15 values
The following values are measured:
- Luminous flux [Lumen]
- Max. light power [Peak Candela]
- Colour temperature [Kelvin]
- Colour spectrum [CIE1931, TM30 C values, CRI, CQS, CRI R values, CQs Q values]
- Luminous intensity distribution [LDC]
- Beam angle
- Electric consumption [W]
- Efficiency [lm / W, calculated]
- Warm-up curve (Time, CCT start, CCT change, CCT end)
- Flicker amount in Procent
- Flicker Frequenz
We will summarise the measured results for you in a PDF overview, and provide all the measured data in *.LDT and *.IES files. All the information about the lamp, light source, light levels and light distribution is contained in the LDT files. The measured data may be visualised in polar diagrams, Cartesian diagrams, cone charts and environmental-accounting tables, for example, using the DIAL LDT editor.
The distribution of light may also be rendered on the basis of the data contained in the IES files, for instance, by using an IES viewer tool.
We would be happy to submit an individual quote based on your lamps, requirements and order quantities. Get in touch with us by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, by phone on +49 (0)6721-91950 or use our contact form.
