Black Sea Arena
The Black Sea Arena in Georgia is one of the new highlights on the country’s Black Sea coast. It’s the largest open concert hall in the Caucasus and is not only impressive for its design but also for the A-list artists who’ve already appeared there. Besides Aerosmith and the Scorpions, for instance, six-time Grammy Award winner Christina Aguilera also performed at the official opening.
The arena was planned by the Stuttgart-based ‘Drei Architekten’ group of architects. The turning slat elements that adapt to all situations and weather as well as the opening roof above the auditorium constitute just two of the building’s highlights.
FLASHAAR manufactured and supplied the lines of LEDs that run around the building. Four hundred metres of NP Line Nova (WW 3000°K) were installed after they had been encased in polyurethane during production to provide IP65-compliant protection against moisture. The Nova range is characterised by its durability and low energy consumption as well as its optimum light output. The arena’s logo also uses the cove lighting.
