NauticProfil® I1 – Recessed luminaire for homogeneous light coves and indirect architectural lighting
The NauticProfil® I1 is a high-performance recessed profile for creating homogeneous coves and high-quality indirect lighting in demanding architectural projects. It enables uniform, glare-free illumination of walls, ceilings, floors, and steps, thus fulfilling key requirements for visual comfort and light quality in professional lighting design.
An integrated reflector ensures precise light direction and an even distribution of the luminous flux onto adjacent surfaces. This creates soft, diffused light patterns without harsh shadow edges – ideal for the indirect illumination of ceilings and walls, as well as for the subtle highlighting of architectural structures.
The NauticProfil® I1 is designed for flush integration into drywall partitions and suspended ceilings and is efficiently bonded into the prepared cutout. This mounting method enables quick, clean installation and supports a minimalist, clean design without visible light fixtures.
Typical applications include stairwells, corridors, underpasses, and walkways where both functional and orientational lighting is required. Furthermore, the system is ideally suited for cove lighting, which visually expands spaces and creates a pleasant ambient light.

For installation, the NauticProfil® I1 is simply glued directly into drywall and suspended ceilings. The joint should be 133-135 mm x the length of the profile

NauticProfil® I2 – Surface-mounted luminaire for precise coves and indirect lighting
The NauticProfil® I2 is a high-quality surface-mounted luminaire for creating precise coves and indirect lighting concepts in modern architectural and lighting design. Based on the proven NauticProfil® I1 recessed profile, the system has been further developed specifically for flexible surface mounting, opening up additional application possibilities wherever integration into the building structure is not planned or possible.
The profile is ideal for mounting on walls, ceilings, and furniture – for example, on cabinets or ledges – and enables even, indirect illumination of adjacent surfaces. In particular, the ceiling illumination contributes to the visual enlargement of the room and the creation of pleasant, glare-free ambient lighting.
A key lighting feature of the NauticProfil® I2 is the precisely defined separation edge between the reflector surface and the housing front. This integrated edge ensures a clear light-dark transition and enables precise light guidance with sharply contoured light lines. This characteristic is particularly relevant for architectural designs where light is used strategically as a design element.
Through its combination of indirect light distribution, controlled light direction, and clear geometry, the NauticProfil® I2 supports sophisticated lighting concepts with high design precision. At the same time, surface mounting ensures efficient installation and high flexibility in planning and retrofitting.

The NauticProfil® I2 is mounted using a retaining bracket; the profile is simply hooked into this bracket and clicked into place
- Mounting bracket* including converter and dimmer to the wall/ceiling.
- Hang the light fixture on one side of the mounting bracket.
- Make the electrical connection. Then snap the attached light fixture into the retaining bracket.
- On request, we can supply the mounting bracket for the NP I2 fully equipped with converter and dimmer.

NauticProfil® profile colors
FLASHAARNauticProfil® systems can be color-matched to any room concept thanks to individual, high-quality anodized or powder-coated finishes. In addition to the standard colors anodized aluminum (E6EV1), matte black anodized (E6C14), and traffic white powder-coated (TWP RAL 9016), further colors are available for profiles, NP lighting inserts, and end plates.
Anodized surfaces provide a very high level of protection against mechanical stress and offer excellent resistance to weathering and corrosion. Upon request, we can also supply the system components in any individual RAL and anodized color.
