Airport Zurich
The entire ceiling area of the new approach at Zurich Airport shines in a new light. This was completely equipped with LED lighting. Spots, panel lighting and light lines from FLASHAAR were used for this.
Prior to the redesign, the driveways were regularly overloaded, leading to traffic chaos backing up to the motorway. The focus of the new approach is the gigantic 350 metre long roof construction, which is optimally incorporated into the appearance of the modern airport. To ensure all safety and technical requirements were fulfilled, about 600 LED luminaires were installed in this project. Despite size of the illuminated area being doubled compared to earlier, the power requirement has been reduced to one third of the previous consumption. This reduces the electricity costs and the long life of LED lighting also reduces the maintenance costs.
The NauticProfil system was used, achieving optimal illumination thanks to the long light line lengths with uniform illumination and was easy to install because of the Plug and Play assembly. At the airport, a total of approx. 133 meters of the Nova line were installed with a 3000 ° K colour temperature. The project was rounded off by the PU casting in the line lights, which protects the luminaires from dust and water jets.
