The entire ceiling surface of the new approach at Zurich Airport shines in a new light.
This was fully equipped with LED lights - spots, light fields and light lines from FLASHAAR® were used for this. Before the redesign, the driveways were regularly overloaded, which led to traffic chaos up to the motorway.
The focal point of the new driveway is the gigantic 350 meter long roof construction, which is optimally integrated into the appearance of the modern airport. Around 600 new LED lights were installed here to ensure that all safety and technology requirements are met. Despite the twice the size of the illuminated area compared to before, the power requirement is only around a third. This lowers electricity costs and the long service life of the LED lighting also reduces maintenance costs. The NauticProfil® system is used, which enables long lines of light with uniform illumination and is easy to install thanks to the plug & play assembly. A total of approx. 133 meters of the Nova-3 line with 3000 K were installed at the airport. The product was rounded off by the PU encapsulation, which protects the lights from dust and water jets.
