Mineralbad Berg – Modern Bath with Nostalgic Charm
After 4 years of general renovation, the people of Stuttgart can once again swim in the bubbling healing waters of Stuttgart’s most traditional mineral baths. The bath in the palace park is one of three thermal baths in Stuttgart that are fed with natural mineral water.
The aim of the renovation was to preserve the style and the defining retro character of the 1950s and to interpret it in a contemporary way during the redesign. You can still find the old-fashioned wooden loungers, the wooden summer changing cabins and cold showers with a lever mechanism. The outdoor area with the sunbathing lawn and the old trees have also been preserved, despite the extensive building work. In the course of the renovation, the glass window by Max Ackermann in the foyer is now no longer flooded with daylight for fire protection reasons, but is illuminated by the FLASHAAR® NP Nova-5. The foyer, the central interface in the bath, is designed to be open and transparent. Long, bright and energy-efficient LED lines ensure optimum lighting in the NP Nova-5 and emphasise the generous and light-flooded atmosphere.
A special highlight is the approx. 40-metre-long light line leading from the interior to the exterior of the arcade. Thanks to the FLASHAAR® premium coating, the uniform, linear appearance of the LED line is maintained. The refractive index is unchanged, the colour temperature of 3000 K is constant. Our NP Defiant RGB luminaires are used in the sauna area. Hidden behind wooden slatted walls, they provide indirect and colourful, harmonious mood lighting.
