Classic applications for linear lights
Only light enables people to perceive spaces. The perception of architecture can be influenced with light. Light expands and accentuates spaces, creates connections and separates areas from one another.
Cove lighting
Ceiling cove with light directed inwards
Effect: The cove lighting brightens the ceiling and at the same time gives the entire room a three-dimensional spaciousness. The room appears higher and the room zones are clearly defined. This type of cove lighting creates balanced, soft and shadow-free basic lighting.
Note: Homogeneous illumination without light-dark areas on a reflective ceiling surface is achieved using LED lines with a high level of uniformity combined with a white or frosted cover and / or by deeply recessed installation. Use a bright LED series for basic lighting.
Backlighting of a wall surface in front
Effect: Contrasting separation of the wall surface from the floor and ceiling.
Note: Homogeneous illumination without light-dark areas on a reflective wall surface is achieved using LED lines with a high level of uniformity combined with a white or frosted cover and / or by deeply recessed installation.
Ceiling cove with light directed outwards
Effect: The cove lighting illuminates the ceiling frieze all around and the offset inner ceiling field remains dark. The spatial proportions are traced with light. The room appears visually larger.
Note: Homogeneous illumination without light-dark areas on a reflective ceiling surface is achieved using LED lines with a high level of uniformity combined with a white or frosted cover and / or by deeply recessed installation.
Pedestal lighting
Homogeneous base lighting
Effect: light island
Note: Homogeneous illumination without light-dark areas over a reflective floor surface is achieved using LED lines with a high level of uniformity combined with a white or frosted cover and / or by deeply recessed installation.
Pendant lamp
Suspended LED line
Effect: Table-related lighting.
Note: Make sure there is sufficient lighting intensity. If the table top is smooth, annoying reflections can occur, which can be avoided by using a white cover.
Shelf and table display cabinet lighting
Front illumination
Effect: Highest brightness zone at the front edge of the compartment and very uniform illumination of the recessed object.
Note: Use LEDs with high color rendering for high-quality exhibits.
Incident lighting on both sides
Effect: Highest brightness zones on both sides. Shadow-free lighting of the object.
Note: Use LEDs with high color rendering for high-quality exhibits.
Direct lighting
Built-in/add-on line for direct lighting
Effect: The light is directed directly into the room and onto the usable levels or places where it is needed. For example, a long visible line can serve as a light guide, short lines can also be decorative elements.
Note: Different lenses/covers are available depending on your needs. However, direct light creates shadows and can dazzle and reflect.
Stair lighting
Railing lighting
Effect: Homogeneous guiding lighting.
Note: In principle, all LED lights are suitable for integration into emergency lighting.
Step lighting
Effect: Strong accentuation of the staircase.
Note: To achieve homogeneous illumination over a reflective floor surface, we recommend using LED lines with a high level of uniformity. The combination with a white or frosted cover and/or a deeply recessed installation completes the effect.
