In total, over 1.1 km of linear luminaires from FLASHAAR illuminate the collections of the Humboldt Forum as well as other areas of the palace. The lines of light enhance the architecture through their lighting effect without drawing attention to themselves.
The Humboldt Forum, housed in the newly reconstructed Berlin Palace, is a modern universal museum that invites visitors to discover the cultures of the world. Together with the neighboring Museum Island, it forms one of the largest contiguous museum complexes in Europe.
From September 23, 2021, the first collection presentations of the Ethnological Museum and the Museum of Asian Art of the National Museums in Berlin will be open to the public. This will make around 20,000 art objects from Africa, the Americas, Asia and Oceania accessible to the public.
