Administrative building of the Diocese of Rottenburg

The existing diocesan building was partially demolished and extended with a new addition. The design was created by Michel & Wolf Architects, Stuttgart.

In the new stairwell of the diocese, lights were to be installed in the handrail to illuminate the stairs. The aim was to conceal the lights/lighting within the handrail while still achieving optimal light output. Care had to be taken to create a continuous line of light and ensure complete illumination of the entire recess, including the mitered corners.
