Office space

The renovation of an old administrative building in 2012 was a collaborative project between FLASHAAR engineers and the architectural firm Fay + Partner from Bingen, who created numerous custom-designed structures for the unique lighting concept. The lighting design in the three-story stairwell is characterized by two main elements. NauticProfil® Victory-3 system luminaires from FLASHAAR . Integrated into the railing handrail – a custom-made structure – these luminaires, thanks to their 60° linear lenses, ensure homogeneous illumination of the stair treads.
MiniLine-2 Enterprise-3 profile luminaires create accent lighting effects. Recessed into the walls, these RGB luminaires produce fascinating and varied lighting effects. Thanks to the continuous glazing of the stairwell, these effects are particularly striking at night. The housings for the luminaires were also custom-designed. They obscure the LEDs, making the otherwise slim and delicate MiniLine-2 luminaires appear larger and more prominent.
During the renovation, the entrance area of the old administration building was extended with a distinctive architectural element. A cube-shaped section is angled into the entrance, projecting halfway outwards and serving as a vestibule. To emphasize this form when looking inside, MiniLine-2 light strips of the Victory-3 type were recessed into the floor on the left and right inner edges.
In the corridor of the office wing, the very low ceiling height, necessitated by the installation of acoustic ceilings, presents a particular challenge for the lighting concept. Here, the MiniLine-2 profile lights, with their narrow and flat profiles, are ideally suited.
The general lighting is provided by luminaires from the Victory-3 series. Equipped with a square, white cover, these luminaires ensure homogeneous illumination of the corridor and, when dimmed, provide adequate night lighting.
While the white lines arranged along a longitudinal axis serve as light guides, RGB luminaires of the Enterprise-3 type are used as dividers and decorative elements. These change color in a sequence that follows the lighting pattern of the stairwell.
