A striking contrast in the PC Hooftstraat in Amsterdam:
Old craftsmanship meets modern creativity

Inspired by a woman in high heels, the facade of Dolce & Gabbana's new premises breaks with the rather simple and understated appearance of PC Hooftstraat. The modern brick sculpture by architect Liesbeth van der Pol was realized using traditionally handcrafted bricks, which lend the building a warm, authentic, and timeless charm.

The large windows are slightly angled, allowing the surroundings to be reflected in the glass surfaces in a high-contrast manner. Below the windows, linear NauticProfil® Victory-7 luminaires with 15° lenses direct even light onto the window arches, bathing the individual irregularities and textures of the bricks in an atmospheric, warm light.

A particular highlight are the NauticProfil® R2 mounting profiles, which are powder-coated in a matching copper tone. Cut at the appropriate angle, they blend harmoniously into the shape and color of the brick facade.
