Zurich Airport

The entire ceiling of the new drop-off area at Zurich Airport is now illuminated by a new light. It has been completely fitted with LED lights – spotlights, light panels, and linear lights from FLASHAAR were used for this purpose.
Before the redesign, the drop-off areas were regularly congested, leading to traffic jams extending to the motorway. The centerpiece of the new drop-off area is the gigantic 350-meter-long roof structure, which blends seamlessly into the modern airport's overall design. To meet all safety and technical requirements, approximately 600 new LED lights were installed. Despite the illuminated area being twice the size of the previous one, the energy consumption is only about a third. This reduces electricity costs, and the long lifespan of the LED lighting also lowers maintenance costs.
The NauticProfil® system is used, which enables long lines of light with uniform illumination and is easy to install thanks to its plug-and-play mounting system. At the airport, a total of approximately 133 meters of the Nova-3 line with a color temperature of 3000 K were installed. The product was finished with a PU encapsulation, which protects the lights from dust and water jets.
