Golden Hall, Ludwigslust Palace

Surrounded by an English landscape park in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania lies Ludwigslust Palace, built between 1772 and 1776. This Baroque palace in the town of the same name was the main residence of the Dukes of Mecklenburg-Schwerin until 1873 and today houses a branch of the Schwerin State Museum. The historically furnished rooms bring to life the courtly art and domestic culture of the 18th and 19th centuries.

In 2016, the castle underwent extensive renovations, and the east wing was opened to visitors for the first time. As part of the construction work, the Golden Hall – the heart of the castle – received new lighting. For this, the lighting designers from the commissioned firm Atelier de Luxe opted for the FLASHAARNauticProfil® system.

The light lines on the gallery flood the walls with warm white light, highlighting the decorative columns, wall panels, and wall ornaments. They are fitted with asymmetrical lenses and mounted on angled brackets. Four NauticProfil® luminaires further accentuate the two corner figures in the room. To complement the ballroom's opulent gold interior, NP Line Radiant luminaire inserts with a color temperature of 2,700 K and a high color rendering index (CRI) of Ra >90 are used for the lighting.
