Lahmeyer Bridge Frankfurt am Main – continuous light line in curved handrail

The new Lahmeyer Bridge in Frankfurt arches elegantly over the tracks of Deutsche Bahn and the port railway. With a comfortable width of 4 meters and a length of approximately 160 meters, it provides a quick connection between the Riederwald residential area and Hanauer Landstraße – whether on foot or by bicycle.
A new feature is the barrier-free access on both sides of the bridge. Modern and highly efficient lighting, integrated into the handrails on both sides, makes it a real eye-catcher, especially in the evenings. The challenge here was to create a continuous line of light within the curved handrail without any interruptions. A perfect task for our NauticProfil® system.
LED lights from FLASHAAR illuminate the path across the Lahmeyer Bridge evenly, ensuring optimal safety. Recessed into the groove of the handrail and fitted with white covers, the lights create a homogeneous and continuous appearance. The lines of light guide the pedestrians and cyclists without dazzling them. The warm white light harmonizes beautifully with the Corten steel of the bridge substructure.
Thanks to the patented plug-and-play mounting system, installing the lights is quick and easy. A flat cable runs inside the NauticProfil® mounting profiles, into which the fully pre-assembled light inserts with their piercing contacts simply "click." Complex wiring is eliminated, and light lines up to 100 meters long can be achieved with just one electrical power supply.
