Sacred lighting: Rochus Chapel, Bingen am Rhein

St. Rochus Chapel in Bingen am Rhein is a pilgrimage church, prominently situated on a hill southeast of the town. Many Bingen residents consider the church, built in 1895 in the Neo-Gothic style, an important part of the town's cultural heritage. Since 2002, it has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley.

The new lighting concept for the Rochus Chapel unfolds like a "golden triptych" across the newly restored Marian, Rochus, and Hildegard altars. A total of 48 PicoSpot luminaires from FLASHAARdirect their warm white light precisely onto the art treasures of the altars, highlighting their details. The high color rendering quality, with a typical CRI of 95, makes the colors exceptionally clear. The gilding, in particular, shines brilliantly thanks to the balanced red spectral component of the light.
