Our new asymmetric linear lens “ILAF” – developed for safe and efficient handrail lighting
Specifically for projects requiring highly efficient and vandal-proof handrail lighting, we have developed a new linear lens for our NauticProfil® system: the ILAF .
Until now, the focus in the integration of linear light profile systems into handrails has been on simple wiring, quick assembly and good ease of maintenance.
The ILAF diffuser is integrated into the NauticProfil® luminaire insert and is ideal for illuminating stairs, walkways, or bridges. It is slightly frosted, and the light emission is directed asymmetrically. While one side is illuminated glare-free and evenly, no disturbing light escapes from the other side. On bridges, for example, this prevents unwanted reflections on the water or road surfaces below.
The combination of a finished, square cover and our patented FLASHAARPremiumCoating completes the ILAF system. The advantage: the tactile feel of the handrail is not disrupted by a linear lens protruding from the groove. The square cover provides a smooth and clean finish to the groove. Thanks to our FLASHAARPremiumCoating, the LED lighting is weatherproof and vandal-resistant, while absolute color fidelity is guaranteed.
Proven technology combined with inventiveness – your advantages at a glance
Unlike conventional pole-mounted lights, innovative linear LED strips integrated directly into the handrail offer numerous advantages. The consistently homogeneous illumination of pathways provides a greater sense of security, reduces the risk of accidents, and also lowers energy costs.
Thanks to our proven plug-and-play installation, the NP lighting inserts can be clicked into the NP mounting profiles in the handrail completely without tools. Light lines up to 120 m in length, with just one electrical power supply, are easily achievable thanks to our proven 48 VDC technology and the integrated, high-performance flat cable.
The consistent use of high-quality aluminum core circuit boards and durable materials in our NP luminaire inserts guarantees a long service life, exceeding 100,000 operating hours. High protection ratings offer NP luminaire inserts against weathering and vandalism. Our in-house PU potting system allows us to offer them in IP65, IP66, IP67, and IP69. Our PMMA covers and linear lenses boast exceptional UV resistance. Polycarbonate covers, on the other hand, are particularly impact-resistant. Luminaires potted with FLASHAAR PremiumCoating guarantee absolute color fidelity and a homogeneous, uniform appearance. Even low color temperatures, such as 2200 K or 2700 K, are possible with high IP protection ratings, e.g., IP66 or IP67. All components are perfectly matched to ensure uniform illumination and prevent the deliberate destruction of the LED handrail.
