ZDF Mainz

ZDF (ZDF) is one of the largest public broadcasters in Europe, headquartered in Mainz, the Rhineland-Palatinate state capital. Together with the regional broadcasters and Deutschlandradio, which form the ARD (German Broadcasting Corporation), ZDF forms the public broadcaster in Germany.
Since February 12, 2010, programs have been broadcast in HD quality (ZDF HD) on a regular basis. In May 2013, the newly constructed ZDF Regie 3 (ZDF Directorate 3) with state-of-the-art image, sound, and lighting technology went into operation. Well-known programs such as the ZDF Fernsehgarten (TV Garden) and the ZDF Sportstudio (Sport Studio) are broadcast from there.
The entire lighting technology is based on LED light sources. Key decision criteria and advantages of LED light sources compared to conventional light sources are the lack of heat radiation and the long service life.
Targeted brightening of dark areas is a key aspect of the lighting concept developed by the Umstätter engineering firm. The light-washed walls make the rather dark room appear larger, creating a completely different, pleasing depth to the rooms.
FLASHAAR was used , combined with track spotlights and a lighting control system from ERCO. Various lighting scenes can be recalled, allowing the user to flexibly adapt the lighting situation to specific requirements.
