Functional new building and meeting place for children, students and seniors of the community

The new St. Franziskus daycare center was officially opened in April 2024 on the outskirts of Weiler near Bingen. The building was designed to meet zero-energy house standards. In addition to its energy efficiency and the sustainable materials used in its construction, the new building also boasts a pleasant indoor climate, natural lighting, and an attractive, inviting design. It accommodates up to 140 children, with plenty of space for child-friendly learning, play, and fun.

The special feature of this new building is the cafeteria, which serves both the daycare children and students from the neighboring elementary school, as well as seniors from the entire region. The Weiler daycare center's standard-compliant, functional lighting meets the specific requirements of each room. Energy-efficient, long-life LEDs support the sustainable design of the new building. Warm white and neutral white LEDs provide sufficient brightness while creating a homely atmosphere. Bright and economical NauticProfil® Nova luminaires are used both as surface-mounted luminaires in the foyer and cafeteria, and as suspended luminaires between acoustic panels, providing ideal lighting conditions with low energy consumption.
