Lighting of the underpass of the railway station in Ústí nad Orlicí (CZ)

The train station in Ústí nad Orlicí is one of the oldest in the Czech Republic and, together with the easily visible route, is a paradise for every railway fan. The station building from 1874, which stands in the middle of the tracks, was declared a cultural monument in 2010. Since the overall condition of the station, the underpass and in particular the lighting situation were not satisfactory, the railway administration decided to carry out a comprehensive modernization.

In 2021, the underpass, the main connection between the platforms, was redesigned. The project required high-quality, energy-efficient lighting that blends into the surrounding architecture with a simple, clear design and is vandal-proof. The NauticProfil® I2 surface-mounted profile from FLASHAARwas chosen for this purpose.

It is mounted on ceilings and walls with a suitable mounting bracket, into which the profile is inserted without tools. Equipped with the LED-Line Navigator, the indirect light of the NP I2 creates a soft and bright room and, together with the wall paintings, a pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to its design and the "Plug&Play" system, a very easy and quick maintenance is guaranteed.
