Merck House Darmstadt

In 1668, Friedrich Jacob Merck purchased the Engel Pharmacy. It is the nucleus of Merck, the world's oldest pharmaceutical and chemical company. Today, after five years of planning and construction, approximately ten million euros in costs, and an unprecedented effort for Darmstadt, the Merck House, an architectural gem of the post-war era, has been renovated.
